Restorative Practices
  or Restorative Justice Facilitation

In both the school system and the criminal justice system, we traditionally see offenses as remedied through punishment. The restorative approach focuses on providing a voice to those harmed, and those who caused harm, enabling them to go beyond punishment and arrive at restoration for all parties involved. This approach allows those harmed to ask for remedies they feel would repair the harm. It also allows those who have caused harm to take responsibility for the harm they have caused, and be an active participant in creating resolutions that repair that harm. These sessions often involve several participants, so they are offered for a flat fee of $300 for a 3 hour session, regardless of the number of participants. Most cases resolve in the first session. Katherine has served as a juvenile delinquency attorney, public defender, youth in transition mentor, and an elementary school restorative practitioner, and brings this knowledge and experience to these sessions.
